The thumbs-up from an industry icon

11500_10151494147346405_833482314_nThis past month as I have been preparing for the launch of our new social network and mobile application called fameus, I have had the pleasure of meeting some great people. February with the awards season in LA was filled with new relationships, and some fun projects with people I respect a lot. I had the pleasure or being invited to the announcement of the 2013 Playboy Jazz Festival lineup that George Lopez will be hosting, whom the honor was passed along from Bill Cosby.

I have had the chance to meet a number of people who I hold in high regard for their outstanding achievements, but the man and legend Quincy Jones was a huge honor for me to have a discussion with. The talented and Emmy winning Cher Calvin from KTLA news and I got to chat with him, and I had the chance to tell him about fameus.

Later in the day, I was having dinner with a friend of mine who has done some outstanding things in the modeling & acting world, and she asked what the highlights of my career were. I had to admit, that one of those moments had happened earlier in the day when I got a smile, thumbs up and a fist pound from someone regarded as one of the greatest minds in the music and entertainment industry. (Getting to swear at Michael Buble on Camera the week before was fun too – and he is a great guy)

If you work in entertainment and don’t have an invitation yet for fameus, you can visit the website and request to be one of the first people on the platform. People seem to like it, and this is one of the most exciting projects I have ever been a part of.
