#SMWLA – How Social Media Electrifies Live Television Events!

Had a blast speaking at SMWLA on September 24th in Santa Monica on how social media is changing the television landscape. I had the pleasure to be alongside some brilliant people such as: Jennifer Liles – Social Media Editor, E! News, Jared Goldsmith, Vice President of Marketing – NBC Entertainment Digital, Hardie Tankersley – VP Digital Product, Platforms,& Innovation, Fox Broadcasting & Seth Shapiro – Governor, Television Academy.

As the second screen experience continues to evolve, so does the production of live television. Today award shows and TV programs need an accompanying hashtag and social handle in order to involve their audiences with relevant and engaging experiences to build meaningful relationships. This panel discusses how brands, companies, producers and networks are connecting and engaging with audiences during live events.
