The iMedia’s Entertainment Marketing Summit is an exclusive event that brings together more than 130 senior marketing executives from the top film, television and home entertainment companies that evangelize and drive digital marketing initiatives across the spectrum of their companies marketing communications disciplines.

The agency shoot out is a fictional agency pitch that is the finale of the conference. The two competing agencies present to a panel that represents the business, which consisted Len Fogge, EVP, Creative, Marketing, Research & Digital Media, Showtime Networks, Chad Harris, VP Special Projects & New Media, Hallmark Channel and Patricia Galea, Executive Director, Digital Marketing & Strategy, Disney ABC Media Networks in front of a room full of real marketing buyers from film, television and home entertainment companies.
This years assignment was based on bringing back the TV classic Bonanza with a modern plot twist to appeal to the CW Television Network audience as part of their Tuesday night prime time line up. The goal of the online campaign was to drive awareness and excitement for the first show’s airing and to engage the target audience in real time as the showed aired in various time zones.
“Our winning strategy was built around creating unprecedented levels of interaction and access between the audience, the cast, crew and the television program.” said Kent Speakman, Director of Business Development who led the presentation at the Wilshire. “A joint effort by our team, recommending some innovative tactics for the campaign, and help from friends like Media Maven Shira Lazar gave us a few exciting twists in the presentation.”
